Debby Kooy Pottery

Fine Craft Ceramics

Debby Kooy's George, WA studio, built in 2020, is a state-of-the-art ceramics workshop.
There, she produces functional high-temperature, reduction-fired
porcelain and stoneware pottery that is either hand-built or wheel-thrown.
It is Art that is born from a lifetime of craftsmanship,
designed to be loved and used every day.
I press value into each piece of wet clay that I touch.
Your inquiries about special orders or commissioned work are welcome!

"...No one who bothers about originality will ever be original;

whereas if you simply try to tell the truth you will, nine times

out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it."  --C.S. Lewis

Pottery Production

Debby's Reduction-fired pottery reaches a temperature of 2,345 degrees F in the kiln.  This insures that the ware has a strength and durability that can withstand YEARS OF daily use, and is oven-proof, microwave and
dishwasher-safe.
All glazes are lead-free.

The Potter
and the Clay

Debby's live pottery demonstration, "The Potter and the Clay" reveals her passion to articulate the intrinsic, eternal perfections of God, the ultimate Potter.  The powerful imagery of this one-hour program will be unforgettable, maybe even life-changing.
